Operate in a non-partisan fashion. VOI does not endorse any political party or group. We will liaise with representative across the New Zealand political spectrum to amplify the voices of the Iranian people.
Reflect our values of equity, diversity and inclusion in all activities and services.
Enable Kiwis from all backgrounds and cultural identities to form a united front in condemning human rights violations in Iran.
Maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity whilst serving the community.
Echoing the global pro-democracy movement calling for the establishment secular, democratic society in Iran, bound by the UN Charter of Human Rights.
Supporting the peaceful efforts of Iranians for a free and just society through advocacy, research, the arts and education.
Transmitting the stories of the people in Iran whose voices are silenced and in doing so, empowering Kiwis to amplify their message in New Zealand.
Working with and informing policy makers from across the New Zealand political spectrum about the Iranian people’s struggles, to assist their demand for a democratic society.
Calling on the New Zealand government to act in line with its international obligations in condemning human rights violations by the Iranian regime and holding perpetrators to account.
Working with New Zealand human rights institutions, civil society organisations and local government to advocate for a pro-democracy movement.
Engaging with the New Zealand media to provide insight into the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom
Give a voice to survivors of human rights abuses by the Iranian regime, and demanding accountability for the perpetrators of the crimes.
Endorsing Iranian arts to preserve Iranian cultural heritage against erasure by the Iranian regime (which suppresses artists and has placed severe restrictions on freedom of expression).
